"Orange Is the New Black" fans who also love the long running medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" should be prepared to swoon and faint, as Ellen Pompeo, who portrays the title character Meredith Grey, recently posted a picture of her and other "Grey's" cast members dressed as characters from "OITNB."

Rather than the routine prison-issued orange attire worn by the women of Litchfield, the cast members of "Grey's" were clad in their traditional blue scrubs. Below the tweeted image, Pompeo declares "Blue is the New Black."

Pompeo stood in the forefront of the photo with hair braided into corn rolls, impersonating the character Tricia from Season 1 of OITNB. Sara Ramirez posed as Alex Vause, sporting black-rimmed glasses and a Vause-like attitude. Crazy Eyes and Mr. Healey doppelgangers were also captured in the photo, as well as Big Boo and Aleida. Pornstache, Piper, Red, Nichols, Taystee, Poussey, Lorna, Pennsatucky, Sophia, Yoga Jones, "Black" Cindy, Sister Ingalls and a bulk of the Latina cast, like Daya, Flaca, Gloria and Maritza, were missing from the shot.

While a crossover between Netflix's "Orange Is the New Black" and ABC's "Grey's Anatomy" may be exactly what the doctor ordered, it isn't very likely for a number of reasons. First, like 93.7 percent of the characters on "Orange Is the New Black" are incarcerated and will be for quite some time. Also, Seattle Grace Hospital/Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital is on the West Coast and Litchfield on the East. But, hey, there's always a chance that there'll be a crossover in a flashback sequence ... or maybe even a dream sequence, where Piper becomes the chief surgeon at Grey Sloan Memorial.

The photo was certainly taken to spark buzz, as "Grey's Anatomy" is only a few days away from the premiere of its 11th season, which will air on Sept. 25 at 8/7 ET/CT pm on ABC. Hungry audiences can expect 24 episodes of the series that will begin with the season's premiere episode, entitled "I Must Have Lost It on the Wind," which will reintroduce beloved cast and continue to blow audiences away with an abundance of medical jargon and drama. Shonda Rhimes, the creator of the series, has said that the newest episodes will be centered on the lead, Meredith.
