In the latest episode of Season 8 of "Doctor Who," the Doctor and Clara were joined by two newcomers as the four planned to rob the universe' most guarded bank.

The episode, which was entitled "Time Heist," saw new characters Saibra, played by Pippa Bennett-Warner, and Psi, portrayed by Jonathan Bailey.

According to the review at Zap2It, the bank heist was actually masterminded and engineered by the Doctor himself at the behest of the villainous manager of the bank -- the elderly Ms. Delphox, who is played by Keely Hawes. Later, the Doctor would erase the memories of his three cohorts.

The twist in the story was subtly given away, but Peter Capaldi's character left his eccentric disposition behind.

The new season of "Doctor Who" is now finding his footing. The story of the most recent episode was well structured and written well (it was written by Steve Thompson and Steven Moffat). However, it was a standalone episode that did not have ties with the previous stories.

It would be a great idea if there were ties back to "Time Heist" as season 8 progressed. Saibra and Psi seemed to have a great chemistry with Clara and the Doctor and it would be neat to see these two characters coming back in other episodes.

In the story, Clara told Psi that the Doctor normally did not call on previous allies, but the story writers for this season had made some throwbacks when episodes become fan-favorites.

It might only be a ruse that the Doctor seems unable to see how attractive Clara is, after all. He did show some jealousy after he'd sent Clara on her way to have her date with Danny Pink.
