Week 3 of the 2014 National Football League season gives us a big Monday Night Football game between two 1-1 teams.

The Chicago Bears travel to East Rutherford, New Jersey to take on the New York Jets.

This should be an interesting inter-conference game between two teams who only play each other once every four years. Both teams are very much alive in their respective divisions.

Latin Post.com breaks down both teams and predicts a winner:

Chicago Bears (1-1)

The Chicago Bears are coming off a huge comeback win over the San Francisco 49ers at Levi's Stadium. That win brought them 1-1 because of a disappointing Week 1 overtime loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Quarterback Jay Cutler has six touchdowns and two interceptions so far. Cutler has always been a high risk quarterback who takes chances, but he will have to limit his turnovers against the Jets. The last two seasons the Bears defense has ranked 30th and 21st overall. Unfortunately, cornerback Charles Tillman is out for the year with a triceps injury.

The Green Bay Packers recently lost to the Detroit Lions 19-7. This could be a great week for the Bears because the Minnesota Vikings also lost. The Packers have won the NFC North the last three consecutive seasons, so the Bears have to take advantage.

Expect running back Matt Forte to get a lot of touches. Marc Trestman is entering his second season as the Bears head coach, and many questions still remain.

New York Jets (1-1)

The New York Jets are 1-1, just like the Bears, after a 31-24 loss to the Packers. Quarterback Geno Smith threw what looked to be a great game-tying touchdown, but Marty Mornhinweg called a timeout before the play, negating the touchdown.

Regardless, it's time for the Jets to move on. They have to face a great wide receiver tandem of Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery. Even though Darrelle Revis and Bart Scott are no longer on the team, this Jets defense is still very competitive. The Jets rank No. 3 overall in team defense.

Rex Ryan has his limitations on the offensive side of the football, but he can coach defense. His father (Buddy Ryan) of course was the defensive coordinator of the famous 1985 Chicago Bears.

Running back Chris Johnson was a big addition, as he does have the longest 1,000-yard season rushing streak in the NFL with six straight seasons hitting that mark. Johnson hasn't shown that huge burst that we've seen in the past, but he has done a decent job with Smith. Michael Vick has two more rushing touchdowns than Johnson has because defenses are focusing on Johnson so much.

Where and When to Watch

The Bears will play the Jets at MetLife Stadium on Monday Night Football at 8:30 p.m. EST Monday. The game will be shown on ESPN. Live streaming of the game can be seen on WatchESPN.

Predictions

This should be a close game. Smith is showing improvements at quarterback and the Jets defense is nothing to ignore. The Bears will put up point with that high-powered offense, but can they get stops?

Jets win at home 24-20
