A new glimpse of fantasy epic film "Jupiter Ascending" shows stars Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum at the center of this new sci-fi flick. Set in Chicago, house cleaner Jupiter Jones, played by Kunis, stumbles on to new truths of Earth's origins and her undiscovered destiny thanks to genetically altered futuristic hunter Caine, Tatum's character.

"You've been taught that the birthplace of the human race is Earth," Jupiter is told at the beginning of the trailer by actor Sean Bean's character, Stinger. "But it's not."

Stinger explains that the human race dates back to "one of the most powerful dynasties in the universe," and Jupiter is next in line to rule over the planet.

The villain, Balem brought to screen by Eddie Redmayne, is another heir to Earth and wants to stop Jupiter before she can attain control.

"I will harvest that planet tomorrow before I let her take it from me," Balem threatens in the clip.

"Jupiter Ascending," is the latest from Andy and Lana Wachowski and is set to now be released Feb. 6, 2015 after initial push-backs reportedly in order to finish the time-consuming visual effects of the film. However, other speculation focused on Warner Bros. wanting to delay the sci-fi film after Tom Cruise's "Edge of Tommorrow" performed so poorly with audiences.

The Wachowskis are the duo behind sci-fi films such as "The Matrix" trilogy, as well as their most recent film, "Cloud Atlas." The movie starred Tom Hanks and Halle Berry and was a literary adaption of the 2004 novel by David Mitchell.

"[These films] distinguished the Wachowskis as superlative visual storytellers," Noelene Clark and Gina McIntyre wrote on the LA Times Hero Complex blog. "'Jupiter Ascending' appears to continue that tradition, with the same mix of futuristic spectacle and existential exploration that catapulted the duo to international acclaim with 'The Matrix' nearly 15 years ago."
