Sam Smith released the music video for the fifth single and bonus track "Restart," off his highly acclaimed debut album "In the Lonely Hour," on Monday.

The 22-year-old undoubtedly shakes off his usual mellowness and celebrates his rise to fame, as well as him coming to terms with an unrequited love from his past, in the new visual for the Zane Lowe-produced up-tempo track.

Directed by Michael Holyk, the lighthearted video shows what it is like to be on the road with the Brit, who kicks off by singing Beyoncé's "Flawless" with his crew on a tour bus. It features the behind-the-scenes footages from his various music festivals and tour dates during the summer and onstage actions performing in front of thousands at sold-out concerts.

"It was a Monday night when you told me it was over babe / And by the Friday night, I knew that I would be okay," Smith opens the '80's-influenced synth song.

The soul singer then declares in the chorus that all he wants to do is press the reset button on his life and start over: "What do you want from me when I just wanna restart / You keep coming back for me when you're the one who tore us apart / And the truth is I'm better on my own / And I'm the one to leave it apart / So let me restart."

"But baby you're not on my mind, no more / I know it was the best thing for the both of us / Cause you're the one who looks like a fool," he continues.

The music video also sees the "Stay with Me" hitmaker picking up his own CD at a record store and enjoying his outing to Brighton with his people.

"'Restart' is one of my favorite tracks on the album and I really felt like I wanted to visualize it," he told The Guardian. "I had such an amazing time putting this video together, remembering some incredible moments from this year and also a recent trip with my team to Brighton this summer."
