A Brooklyn educator at a technical high school has been charged for having intercourse with several female students as well as many other illegal acts. Sean Shaynak, a math and physics teacher at Brooklyn Technical High School was charged by officials in August after he sent an illicit picture of his genitals to a 16-year-old student.

Prosecutors said Tuesday that they found other examples of depraved behavior in Shaynak's past.

The 44-year-old divorced father of a 9-year-old daughter is being accused of taking students to nude beaches and sex clubs, sending thousands of inappropriate text messages to a 15-year-old girl and carrying out a four-month sexual relationship with another teen. He is also accused of giving one female student high grades "regardless of the fact she did not do any assignments and left tests blank," prosecutor Joseph Mancino said to New York Daily News. His charges stem from inappropriate relationships he had with six girls, ages 13 to 19.

Later searches of Shaynak's computer revealed an extensive library of pornography, including sexual acts between humans and animals.

"It is shocking that a public high school teacher allegedly sexually preyed on vulnerable students," Brooklyn District Attorney Kenneth Thompson said in a recent statement.

The criminal behavior began in the fall of 2012 according to court papers. Shaynak is facing 25 years in prison for one of the charges as well as punishment for his 36-count indictment accusing him of kidnapping, forcible touching and criminal sex acts, among others.

Reactions among students at the Brooklyn school were varied.

"Some people were aware of it. They said that they saw it coming, that he was a perv -- the way he looked at girls," 16-year-old junior at the school, Tangina Ahmed, said. "I find that really gross."

Brooklyn Technical High's principal, Randy Asher, has not commented on the incident.
