Now that the audition rounds are over on "Yo Soy El Artista," the whole competition has changed.

Gone are the fancy stages and audiences. For this round, contestants were at a hangar, where they arrived without knowing what to expect.

The acting and singing coaches took their seats next to artist school director Olga Tañon.

The challenge of the week, as told by Alberto Slezinger, was to sing a song as a group.

Tañon was very honest about what she expected from the singers.

"If you give 100 percent, you stay," she said. "If not, you got home. This is the reality and we have to start eliminating so that we only end up with one person."

The groups had to sing a song in English and Spanish, and the contestants both sang on their own and in their groups.

That first trial was enough for the judges to decide who to eliminate, and because this is just another round before getting into the artist school, the judges had to eliminate many. Twenty contestants were gone after the first challenge, and the remaining people were given passports.

"These passports are your entire life," Lucero said.

The passport will show the contestants just how they are doing in the competition, as it will hold their grades during each of the different challenges.

It was later revealed that some of the 20 eliminated would get a second chance.

The second challenge broke the contestants up into groups of three. Each singer had to sing a song from one of three different genres.

The competition is trying to move quickly, and though the final 20 have yet to be revealed, the judges have already picked six of the people who the audiences will be following.

The rest of the final 20 will be revealed on the next episode of "Yo Soy El Artista."
