The new iPhone 5s hasn't even been out for a few days and the gold color is already sold out.

This iPhone release marks the first time that we've seen Apple release a phone in more than two colors, so it comes as no surprise that they're still getting a feel for which colors are preferred by their customers. But how awkward would it be if Apple fans end up having such high demand for the gold phones that the other colored phones sit on the self and collect dust. Just imagine if Apple's next iPhone release ends up being narrowed down to one or two color options instead?

Internationally, the gold is just as popular. Anything gold is traditionally a favorite in China, so Apple may have had that in mind when they were looking to expand on the Chinese market.

The iPhone 5c, on the other hand, is available in a plethora of rainbow colors so it is hard to tell this early whether one color will take over the rest. At any rate, the phone will most likely cater to those who never upgraded to the iPhone 5 as well as those who are just entering the smartphone market, such as high schoolers who are looking to keep up with their friends who have iPhones. Many experts are agreeing that the iPhone 5c is mostly just an iPhone 5. The only improvements people have noticed so far pertain to the camera. Some have said that the front-facing camera is much better quality.
