Misty Upham, who has appeared in films like "August: Osage County" and "Frozen River," has been missing since Oct. 6, and her family is continuing to search for her. Her parents believe she may be suicidal.

Upham, 32, was reported missing on Oct. 6 when her family tried to file a missing person's report with the police. The actress, who just finished filming "Cake" with Jennifer Aniston, had been struggling financially, according to a source talking to People.

"She was doing everything she could to make it, but there were times she couldn't even make her own rent," the source said.

The actress was seen leaving her apartment in Auburn, Washington, on Oct. 5, reports People. The police had responded to the residence on a call about a reported suicide but found no one in the apartment.

"Our officers responded to her apartment where she lives with her parents on Sunday for a suicidal call," Commander Steve Stocker said. "When our officers got there, she had already packed up some belongings and left the apartment, so the officers were not able to contact or find her."

The police did not file a missing person's report when her father, Charles Upham, tried because she did not meet the criteria in the state of Washington.

Her family released an update via Facebook, in which which they continue to ask for help.

"We have been consumed by chasing down leads and doing ground searches in the area she was last seen. It is only her family searching right now, hanging posters, checking with shelters, hospitals, and asking people in the area if she has been seen," the Facebook post reads. "We are asking for help from people who live in the area to search the wooded areas near the Muckleshoot casino. There have been possible sightings of her in Seattle. If you think you see her and you have a camera phone take a pic and send it to me by text or email, remember law enforcement is not looking for her."

Speaking with the Hollywood Reporter, Charles Upham said he fears for his daughter's safety because he believes her to be suicidal.

"She had recently changed her medication, so she was sort of having erratic behavior," Upham said. "She told me and her mom that we didn't have to worry about her anymore. ... I thought it sounded suicidal myself, so I called the police. She's always been a suicidal person."
