Oh, who lives in a pineapple under the sea? That's right it's SpongeBob SquarePants, and he's back. "SpongeBob SquarePants 2″ is about to begin filming in Georgia and is reported to release February 13, 2015.

Antonio Banderas, who has done the voice for Puss in Boots from "Shrek", is one of the stars in "SpongeBob SquarePants 2." Banderas will be the voice of a pirate in the movie.

Jay Self, director of the Savannah Film Office, is very excited about the film. He says, "This is going to be one of those films that every kid in the world is going to want to see and their parents are going to have to take them."

The SpongeBob SquarePants sequel will begin filming on Tybee on September 30. Some scenes that'll be live action will be shot in Savannah, which will be great for the community, according to Self. Shooting in Savannah will start on October 9. According to Savannah Now, filming will take approximately 40 days in Savannah, which will employ people to work on the crew and as extras.

In Savannah preparations for filming are being made; storefronts are being pressure washed or painted and crosswalks are being touched up on Broughton Street. "They're trying to make it look like it's right at the seaside," said Self. The changes are of course temporary. The buildings will be restored to their original color once filming is completed.

SpongeBob's previous movie was in theaters in 2004. The film grossed over $140 million. The TV show continues to run on Nickelodeon, and season 10 will begin to air in 2014. The new season should boost interest in the upcoming film "SpongeBob SquarePants 2."
