Rapper Missy Elliot, famous for early 2000s hits like “Work It” and “Gossip Folks,” returned to the limelight when she performed at the launch of Alexander Wang’s H&M collection. However, the fashion line was not the only thing revealed.

Elliot appeared thinner than she has ever been before, allegedly losing 70 pounds.

The Daily Mail Online reports that Elliot, 43, lost 70 lbs and showed it off during the launch party. Despite wearing a baggy outfit, her weight loss was visible on her much slimmer face. She posted a photo on Instagram with the caption, “Just got off stage thanks @ALEXANDERWANGNY and @hmusa for having me perform I enjoyed.”

A fan retweeted the photo, commending Elliot’s efforts.

The rapper began losing weight after being diagnosed with Graves’ Disease, an autoimmune illness that affects the thyroid, according to People. She was diagnosed in 2008 and began exercising and dieting to help control the illness.

In a 2011 interview with People, she talked about how the disease affected her and what she has done to improve her health.

"I feel great," Elliott said. "Under my doctor’s supervision, I’ve been off medication for about a year, and I’m completely managing the condition through diet and exercise.”

Well, it appears her regimen has worked. When she rocked the stage at the launch party, her performance brought Missy Elliot back to the world with a bang, rocking a bedazzled pullover and hat by Wang, according to MTV.

The Guardian reports the event took place at Fort Washington Avenue Armory in New York and various celebrities were in attendance, including Eddie Redmayne, Jessica Chastain, Dakota Fanning, Solange Knowles and Mary J Blige.
