Fans have lately been speculating that a new romantic track titled "I Love You," which Harry Styles penned for fellow "X Factor" winners Alex & Sierra, was inspired by the One Direction member's failed romance with Taylor Swift.

The love song is seemingly about Styles' regret over the split from Swift: "I fell in love in the morning sun while the hours slipped away / Sometimes when I hear your name, a smile creeps on my face / And for reasons I can't explain, it's never out of place / 'Cause I love you more than you think I do / And I love you, now you don't want me to."

Perez Hilton first pointed out that the line "I fell in love in the morning sun" resembles the lyrics from the "1989" singer's recently released single "Out of the Woods":

"But when the sun came up, I was looking at you / Remember when we couldn't take the heat / I walked out, I said, 'I'm setting you free' / But the monsters turned out to be just trees / When the sun came up, you were looking at me."

Alex & Sierra's track also has the line "I won't trouble you no more," a possible reference to Swift's 2012 "I Knew You Were Trouble," which was reportedly written about Styles.

However, it turns out that "I Love You" is not about Taylor Swift. "It is not, it's just a coincidence," a source revealed to Hollywood Life. "Harry wrote the song with Alex & Sierra on his mind and what he saw in their relationship, not Taylor.

"He doesn't want to extend the whole Taylor Swift thing. ... He's past that whole ordeal and wants people to move on."

Moreover, Harry Styles teamed up with the "X Factor" duo because his mentor wanted him to.

"Simon Cowell loves Alex & Sierra and loves their story and their love for each other," the source said. "Simon made sure that they met all the One Direction guys -- including Harry -- during the time they performed on the show and afterwards because Simon believed they would be great for each other.

"Simon was eager for them to all work together after Alex & Sierra won the show, especially since one of Alex & Sierra's best performances was an One Direction song," the source said. "So, it was just the right thing to do in Simon's eyes to have Alex & Sierra work with the best."
