The 2014 NFL trade deadline is scheduled for 4 p.m. EST on Tuesday, Oct. 28.

So far the biggest trade we've seen this season was Percy Harvin to the New York Jets from the Seattle Seahawks. The New York Giants need to make a trade at the wide receiver position, especially with star wide out Victor Cruz out for the season out with a leg injury. The Giants are currently 3-4, still in the playoff race, and they have options on the trade market. Quarterback Eli Manning can only do so much with this offense, especially with running back Rashad Jennings injured.

The New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs could be great trade partners for the Giants.

Former second round draft pick Aaron Dobson may be a suitable option. Dobson had a great rookie season last year with 519 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Not bad for a rookie. But for whatever reason, Dobson just isn't getting playing time this season and has been inactive for most of the games.

The Patriots have only played Dobson in three games this season so far. Dobson has yet to make an impact with just three catches and 36 yards. There have been rumors swirling around that Dobson hasn't been getting along with Patriots management. Whatever the case, Dobson isn't playing and the Patriots aren't getting value for him.

The Giants need a wide out, so why not trade for Dobson? This could be a win-win situation for everyone involved. The Giants could add wide receiver depth and the Patriots could get a draft pick in return. Dobson could also get the playing time he desires.

Another player on the Patriots the Giants may want to keep in mind is Brian Tyms. Tyms is just 25 years old, but has potential. In the preseason he played very well, but was suspended the first four games of the regular season. In his regular season debut against the Buffalo Bills, Tyms caught a 43-yard touchdown pass from Tom Brady. Tyms still has a lot to prove, but he can be a deep threat for a low price.

Coaches Tom Coughlin and Bill Belichick have a long history with each other, having both been on the same Giants team in the late 1980s and early '90s. But would they be willing to do business with each other?

Another option for the Giants is Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe.

Bowe has been in trade rumors over the last two years because he hasn't lived up to expectations in Kansas City. Still, Bowe is a good receiver who is capable of making plays. Last season, Bowe and the Chiefs agreed to a five-year, $56 million deal with $26 million guaranteed.

Bowe isn't a possession receiver like Wes Welker or Marvin Harrison, meaning he won't catch a lot of balls every year for you. Bowe also doesn't score a lot of touchdowns, but he is a physical receiver and the Giants could use him. With Jamaal Charles and Knile Davis dominating the ground game, we really haven't seen Bowe reach his full potential lately.

Bowe would certainly get more touches and balls thrown his way if he played in New York. We've seen Bowe do great things in this league before when given the opportunity. In three of his first five seasons, Bowe had more than 1,000 yards and his rookie season he has 995 yards.

A big advantage with trading with the Patriots and/or Chiefs is they play in the AFC. Trading with a team in a separate conference is always beneficial because you won't have to compete against that team in the standings. For example, Percy Harvin to the Jets won't affect the Seahawks in the NFC standings, no matter how good the Jets do.
