Police are responding to a shooting at Marysville Pilchuck High School in Washington. Shots were reported around 10:45 local time and the school is currently on lockdown.

Police cars have been seen surrounding the scene.

Fox News is reporting the shooter is in custody.

(UPDATE: The shooter killed himself according to Fox 13 News in the Seattle area.)

The active shooter situation is now over. There is said to be at least six victims according to Fox 13 News.

One student is said to be headed to a trauma center according to Fox 13 News.

UPDATE: It was reported that one of the students that was shot sustained a wound to the head. Three are being reported as killed and six are being reported as wounded.

Students are being transported by bus to local churches and most aren't even able to see their parents.

All activities for the district are being canceled at the school that is about 45 minutes north of Seattle, according to Fox News Channel.

The media is setting up a staging area where the police are set to answer questions. 

UPDATE: According to the USA Today, Marysville Police Cmdr. Robert Lamoureux said in a briefing that they are "confident there was only one shooter." 

Parents have been tole to stay away from the school since the search is still active. 

A University of Washington spokesperson said in a statement that :

"At this time, we are expecting one patient to arrive to Harborview Medical Center as a result of the Marsville Pilchuck High School incident.
