According to SegmentNext, the next patch for Destiny will have loads of additions, including new armors, weapons and items. Based on the forum at DestinyDB, there will be three new exotic items that will be available for each class. There is a possibility that vehicle shaders will be available, as well as new items so gamers can upgrade their weapons and armors.

Among the weapons to be expected from the next major patch are a solar damage rocket launcher called Dragon's Breath, a shotgun (Devil's Due), a scout rifle called Punk Prayer, a kinetic damage sniper rifle (No Land Beyond) and an arc damage auto rifle called Nechrochasm.

Supposedly, gamers will also be able to get new legendary and raid weapons with a list that includes the following:

  • Song of Ir Yut - machine gun
  • Fist of Crota - Solar Damage Rocket Launcher
  • Black Hammer - Void Damage Sniper Rifle
  • Light of Abyss - Solar Damage Fusion Rifle
  • Swordbreaker - Arc Damage Shotgun
  • Oversoul Edict - Arc Damage Pulse Rifle
  • Fang of Ir Yut - Scout Rifle
  • Abyss Defiant - Auto Rifle
  • Word of Crota - Arc Damage hand cannon

For new armor, each class is also likely to get three exotic armors. Warlock will have the Claws of Ahmkara gauntlets, Starfire Protocol chest and The Stag helmet. The Titan class will have the Pardon Me Coming Through boots, Ruin Wings gauntlets and The Glasshouse helmet. The Hunter class, on the other hand, will get the Radiant Dance Machines boots, Don't Touch Me gauntlets and the ATS/8 Arachnid helmet.

These are truly exotic items -- with especially creative names.

Some of the other items that will be available from the patch are Hangar Assignment, Harronic Essence, Glass Shards, Vex Raid Rare, Vehicle Shader Template, Epoch Splinter, Exotic Weapon Core, and Exotic Armor Shard. The list of items, weapons and armors is quite long, aside from the Tier One and Tier Two legendary item sets.
