The upcoming Halloween-themed episode of "Criminal Minds" will be chilling and intense as the BAU investigates the kidnapping of a young boy in California who is locked in a claustrophobia-inducing box.

In the all-new episode, which is titled "Boxed In," a suspect will kidnap a boy and throw him in a box, giving the elite FBI division a short amount of time to find and rescue him.

A video promo shows a man wearing a Halloween mask grabbing the boy and then locking him up.

"Imagine what those conditions would do to a child," says David Rossi in the promo.

Not only was this episode directed by actor Thomas Gibson, but his son Travis will play Jake McCauley, a friend of the missing child.

In the last episode, "The Itch," the BAU tracked down a killer in Atlanta with a unique skin disorder who was torturing his victims by covering them with insects so that they could feel his pain.

The killer, who is named Leo, was finally arrested just as he began to torture a woman. In order to rescue her, the FBI agents convinced him that there were no bugs crawling underneath his skin by showing him a mirror. Once he realized that what they were saying was true, the team pounced on him and cuffed him, reports The Celebrity Cafe.

According to Carter Matt, the official synopsis for "Boxed In" reads as follows:
