Marjorie de Sousa has been seen as the reason that Pedro Fernandez's family was jealous of him being on "Hasta El Fin Del Mundo."

The Venezuelan beauty, who plays Sofia Ripoll, was Fernandez's love interest on the show, which meant the two had plenty of romantic scenes together.

De Sousa has opened up about what it was like kissing Fernandez in front of his family.

"Yes, I had to do some scenes like that, and I got very nervous because I would say, 'How embarrassing!'" she said. "But I think it's a normal thing for us. It would be like taking my boyfriend, which I don't have, and having him be there and he says, 'Well then?' But his family was always very nice. I have nothing bad to say about them."

The actress also said that she doesn't believe that these romantic scenes had anything to do with Fernandez's departure. Fernandez would later state that he left the telenovela because of his health.

Still, de Sousa said she never saw him looking sick.

"I think there are things people don't want to talk about," she said. "You don't want to say anything, and you have to respect that, but we never had to stop shooting for him."

She also expressed sadness at losing her co-star. For de Sousa, who is best known for her villainous roles, "Hasta El Fin Del Mundo" marked her first protagonist role. She called Fernandez her "right hand" and said the switch has affected her, adding that it was difficult to lose someone as talented as Fernandez.

This whole situation wouldn't stop de Sousa from working with Fernandez in the future, she said. She was about to elaborate more on this topic but decided that it would probably better to wait until Fernandez was asked the same question.

The telenovela has decided to move forward with David Zepeda portraying the same character, Chava. De Sousa said things will get much sexier between her and the new Chava.
