Latin Grammy-winning, Guatemalan singer-songwriter Gaby Moreno is bringing her bluesy, rich vocals and jazz-infused sound to the East Coast. She will join resident gypsy troubadour David Garza for two live shows at Tin Angel in Philadelphia on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 8 p.m. and at Joe's Pub in New York on Monday, Nov. 17 at 7:00 p.m.

Moreno, who recently celebrated Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery along with artists Carla Morrison and Grammy Award-winning band, La Santa Cecilia, is known for her "captivating blend of blues, jazz soul and R&B."

The Guatemala-born artist has become a rising star on the international music scene as well as Canada and the U.S. On Tuesday, Nov. 11, Moreno will also release her new holiday album, "Posada."

"I would love to see my music reaching all kinds of people, meaning different nationalities," she told Latin Post in an earlier interview. "Right now, I have a big Latin American following and I have been doing concerts in Europe a lot, too, but I would like to reach more of the European audience and more of the American audience. I sing both in English and in Spanish, so there's a little bit of everything for everybody there."

Garza is an Austin-based American singer-songwriter who "infuses rock and pop with a Latin feel." His vocal style has been compared to the legendary Freddie Mercury, Jeff Buckley, Donovan and Robert Plant, which needless to say is a huge compliment.

He has been wowing audiences since the late '80s with "his inimitable blend of glam-rock, power pop, Latin folk, blues and even musique concrete," according to his bio. "Through a couple of major-label albums and a trove of indie releases, he's embodied the troubadour, the guitar hero, the post-punk provocateur, the falsetto-wielding loverman, the effects-looping mad scientist, the griot -- but always a storyteller, relentlessly seeking that human connection."

The past couple of years have been pivotal for Moreno, who won Best New Artist at the 2013 Latin Grammys, she was also nominated for an Emmy for writing the theme song for the NBC TV show "Parks and Recreation."

She recently toured with "House" actor and jazz musician/pianist Hugh Laurie, and performed at sold out dates in Canada, USA and Europe alongside artists, Tracy Chapman, Ani DiFranco and Van Dyke Parks.

Her talent has been described as: "Deep bass tones set the mood for the humming of a soft, melodic voice. A bit of blues-infused heartache shot through with the trill of Latin pop, the richness of soul music, and a hint of rebellious folk," according to Miami New Times. "These are the kinds of musical movements, urgent yet graceful, that flow from Guatemalan singer/songwriter Gaby Moreno."

Moreno has also performed at the Pachanga Latino Music Festival in Austin, Texas and the Electric Burma in Dulbin, where she shared the stage with Bono and Grammy Award winners Angelique Kidjo and Lupe Fiasco. She collaborated with superstar Ricardo Arjona, with whom she recorded the song "Fuiste Tu" from the CD "Independiente." The video of the track reached over 100 million views on YouTube.

Moreno has also been recognized for her songwriting ability. She won the Grand Prize at the John Lennon Songwriting Contest with her song "Escondidos," first in the Latin category, then overall. This recognition earned her an invitation by Yoko Ono to unveil the John Lennon Educational Bus.
