Disney has unveiled the trailer to Kenneth Branagh's upcoming "Cinderella" in anticipation for the March release.

The new trailer is premiering in front of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1" as Disney is trying to appeal to the teenage audience that is also attracted to the franchise.

The latest trailer shows many elements that audiences have come to see in live action adaptations of Disney films. For example, the film shows colorful costumes and many visual effects -- in particular, the rats turning into horses. Like the previous films, the sets are lavish and colorful. However, unlike "Alice in Wonderland," "Oz The Great and Powerful" and "Maleficent," many of the sets seem to be real locations as opposed artificial green screens.

The story in the film seems to follow the original movie, a far cry from other live action adaptations by the company in which the stories are filled with twists. In this adaptation, it seems like audiences will actually see Cinderella's mother, and the character's name is actually Ella. In the trailer, it is her step sisters who adopt the name for her.

The trailer also shows the fairy godmother transform from an old woman into a youthful woman. In the trailer, the character, played by Helena Bonham Carter, shows her charming personality and it seems like she adds comic timing to the film.

The movie also shows Cate Blanchett as the villainous step-mother. Blanchett has been cast as a villain before in "Hanna." However, this villain does not seem as dark. Instead, there are some comic moments to it. Branagh also chose to give Blanchett a red-haired wig. This a reminder of her role in "Hanna" as she also had a wig.

"Cinderella" also seems like it will play the Prince Charming theme that the past three live action films have lacked.

"Maleficent" introduced a Prince Charming character but quickly did away with it. The film instead focused on Maleficent's relationship with the princess.

According to the trailer, Prince Charming will be the lead with Cinderella, and he will be the one who saves Cinderella from her wicked step-mother.

"Cinderella" tells the story of a servant step-daughter who wins the heart of a prince. It stars Lily James as Cinderella, Hayley Atwell as Cinderella's mother, Richard Madden as Prince Charming, Holliday Grainger as Anastasia, Sophie McShera as Drizella and Derek Jacobi as The King. Stellan Skarsgard plays the role of the Grand Duke and Ben Chaplin as Cinderella's father.

The movie is slated to open on March 13, 2015 and is rate PG for mild thematic elements. "Cinderella" is the first of the two live action Disney adaptations slated for 2015.

In December, "The Jungle Book" will be released and will be directed by Jon Favreau. Disney is also developing a new version of "Beauty and the Beast" and the studio is slated to announce more adaptations.
