A lot can change in four years, and this is especially true for Cuban actor William Levy.

He was originally signed on to star in the "Cuna de Lobos" remake, which was titled "Por Derecho de Sangre," but the project was canceled, notes TV y Novelas.

Now, however, the telenovela is back on, and many are wondering if Levy will make his return.

Rumor has it that the actor has not wanted to commit to another telenovela because he was hoping for this project to come through. So far, there is no information on whether or not Levy will find himself back in Mexico.

Levy was supposed to originally star alongside Rebecca Jones, Danna Garcia, Rafael Amaya and Dominika Paleta. The names that are now being thrown around are Leticia Calderon, Daniela Castro, Victoria Ruffo and Cynthia Klitbo.

"Por Derecho de Sangre" started filming before it was canceled. An old segment on "Hoy" shows Levy getting into a car. He was playing the son of Jones's character.

In the video, Levy even compliments Jones.

"She looks sexy," he said. "What a tremendous mom that I have, huh?"

Then-producer Salvador Mejia explained that while shooting the intro for the show, one of the wolves they were using got loose. After the wolf tired itself out, the animal handlers were able to get the wolf back.

In 2013, Levy said he was going to start focusing on his Hollywood career. In October, it was believed that the actor would be going back to Mexico to star in "Sin Censura," a live show that features an all-male cast. When the show kicked off, audiences noticed that Levy was not among the male stars, despite the fact that his image was used to promote the show. The actor has spoken out since then to defend himself against those who have critiqued him for backing out of the show.

"I said in all the interviews that I did that it wasn't a sure thing," he said according to Telemundo.
