It has been almost a year since Khloé Kardashian filed for divorce from estranged husband Lamar Odom last December, and the case is now reportedly headed for automatic dismissal because of inactivity.

According to court documents (via RadarOnline), Judge Scott Gordon submitted a notice of case review default on Oct. 9 to notify Kardashian that the divorce petition could be dismissed for failure to take any action in the proceedings.

However, this does not mean that the reality star is willing to reconcile with the former NBA player; finalizing the process would help her to move on from him for good.

"Khloé has been told by her attorney, Laura Wasser, that she could file a motion to have the divorce granted, even though Lamar hasn't formally responded," a source said. "Becoming legally divorced would allow Khloé to move on, while lawyers for the former couple hash out a financial settlement. However, Khloé has held off on taking that drastic step. She can never trust Lamar again, after being cheated on so many times, but she is becoming more and more despondent about her personal life."

Kardashian took to her Instagram account on Nov. 7 to post a cryptic message seemingly towards Odom. She shared a quote about not having closure in a relationship.

With that being said, the couple reportedly does "talk on the phone sometimes, but there is no chance that they will ever get back together."

"Khloé can't go back to that dark place, but just seems paralyzed with fear to move forward," the source explained.

The source added that Kardashian's recently rekindled relationship with rapper boyfriend French Montana is "only a fling."

"Khloé has said she doesn't know if she will ever find true love again," the source continued. "It's truly sad."
