The team captains knew elimination was coming, and on Sunday's episode of "Va Por Ti," it finally happened.

The show started off with each team captain standing with their teams. Both teams had faced off the previous week in a series of duels. Jencarlos Canela's team had four wins, and Dulce Maria's team had three. The teams faced off once again on Sunday.

Fernando and Ana Cristina were the first to duel. Ana Cristina won the round, making both teams tied.

Throughout the competition, there has been an online rematch, where contestants that have been eliminated compete against each other. Geissie and Victor were the two who performed best, but only one could win.

Cuban singer Geissie was chosen as the winner and was allowed back into the competition. She was the only one who was guaranteed a spot in the semifinals at the beginning of the show.

When the duels started back up again, Danny competed against Virginia. Virginia, who is part of Canela's team, won.

Then, Jose went up against Yazaira. When Yazaira was named the winner, the teams were once again tied.

William Levy arrived on the set to hear some of the duels.

He saw Stephanie face off against Paloma. As the judges deliberated on which singer would end up breaking the tie, Levy stood on the sidelines with the "Va Por Ti" trophy.

Paloma ended up making her team the winner, and Canela was awarded the trophy.

Before Dulce Maria left, she sang a song for the crowd.

Geissie and Paloma competed once more. This time the prize was dinner with Levy, so both women gave it their all. Luckily, Levy chose both of them.

For Dulce Maria's team, things were still up in the air. Each explained why they deserved to be in the competition. Their fate is now in the public's hands. The two who receive the lowest number of votes will be eliminated next week.
