Rapper Waka Flocka Flame stole the show at the American Music Awards Sunday night with a hilarious performance. However, it did not happen on stage or at the awards ceremony at all; he appeared in a commercial for cough drops that is now taking the Internet by storm.

The video was uploaded to the Pine Bros. YouTube account. In the commercial, Waka Flocka is sitting down and lauding the efficiency of Pine Bros. cough drops. As soft piano music plays in the background, the rapper talked about the cough drops.

"What does a Waka Flocka Flame do for minor sore throat relief? This here," he said in the video, awkwardly looking into the camera as he lifts a couple bags of lozenges.

He continues to praise the cough drops ingredients -- “plant glycerin" and "imported gum acacia” -- recommending the product to anyone with throat troubles.

On Twitter, the rapper tweeted a series of laughing emojis and the hastag #PineBrothers, referencing the company and the commercial's hilarity.

Others also took to Twitter commenting on the commercial, which seemed surreal but hilarious to many. It also seems to have created new customers for the company.

According to Rolling Stone, this is not the first time Pine Bros. has done a quirky commercial. In January, Pine Bros. debuted a commercial featuring Martha Stewart during the Golden Globes.

On the company’s YouTube channel there are more, shorter clips of Waka Flocka talking about cough drops.
