"High school Musical" actress Vanessa Hudgens was recently granted a restraining order from a man named Junior Kabongo who traveled from Africa to L.A. to try and marry her, TMZ reports.

In addition to his long travel, Kabongo also allegedly sent a series of lewd emails to Hudgens about making love to her and asking her to make him a movie star.

"God gave me a penis to make you feel like you never did everytime when we'll make love," read one of the emails obtained by Perez Hilton.

Another email reads,"I love you and wanna marry you. I WRITE SCREENPLAYS. I wanna become a movie star."

Perez Hilton reports that Hudgens filed the restraining order against Kabongo earlier this month after he was seen driving "up and down" the street of Hudgens' home.

Now that Hudgens' restraining order has been granted, Kabongo is required to stay 100 yards away from Hudgens, her family, and her current boyfriend, Austin Butler.

Despite the drama surrounding her stalker, Hudgens has succeeded in appearing calm on social media.

Earlier this week, the 25-year-old actress flaunted her new hairstyle which features a sleek bang on Instagram. She also expressed her desire to "conquer" the week on Monday.

In addition to sporting a new look, Hudgens is also gearing up to take on a new starring role in the upcoming Broadway musical, Gigi, the Daily Mail reports.

Hudgens will play the titular role in the musical about a high-society courtesan.

Broadway reports that Gigi was first created as a 1944 novel by Colette and later adapted as a Broadway musical in 1951 by Anita Loos and starring Audrey Hepburn.

When asked about her feelings towards taking on the role of Gigi at a Global USA event, Hudgens responded, "I'm stoked. I love the play so much! I love Gigi-she's so adorable. She's so much fun."
