Things will heat up in the next all-new episode of "The Vampire Diaries" as Damon goes on a mission to bring Bonnie home.

In the previous episode, "Fade Into You," it was revealed that Liv and Tyler are Gemini Coven and that Jo is really their older sister. Their father also tried to kill Jo in order to prevent her evil twin brother, Kai, from escaping from his eternal imprisonment, reports Celeb Dirty Laundry.

In addition, Elena broke up with Liam and erased their romance from his memory after their Thanksgiving dinner because she couldn't seem to shake her feelings for Damon. At the end of the episode, she warmed up to her ex-boyfriend and asked him to save Bonnie.

Unfortunately, "The Vampire Diaries" fans are going to have to wait until Dec. 4 for another new episode to air.

In a preview of the next new episode, which is titled "I Alone," Elena tells Jeremy that "Damon's doing everything that he can to bring" Bonnie back.

"She's the reason I made it out alive," Damon adds in the clip.

It also appears that Kai makes an escape from his time prison as he is seen strangling a cab driver.

On a brighter note, Alaric and Jo are seen sharing a steamy kiss while Bonnie speaks to Damon and Elena over the phone.

"I can't believe I'm hearing your voices right now," she says during the call.

"You're coming home," Elena tells her in response.

Another clip shows that Elena will apologize once again to Damon for erasing her memories of their relationship.

"I'm sorry for compelling away the memories. They were only half mine," she tells him.

"We'll make new ones," Damon says in reply.

TVLine teased that viewers will get more insight into Damon and Bonnie's strong connection.

"There's an extraordinarily thin line between love and hate," actor Ian Somerhalder said. "Due to the fact that these two hated each other, and had so many connections ... it only seemed appropriate that they would be given a chance, due to the dynamics of their relationship."

Actor Michael Trevino also dropped spoilers about Tyler and Liv's relationship, revealing that Liv's current dilemma will occupy most of Tyler's time.

"He's there for Liv and wants to protect her and make sure she's not getting into trouble," Trevino said. "She's being so tough and a little bitchy at times towards him. He's not used to that, so I like that Tyler's having to deal with that this season. But we will see their relationship become stronger. He's really smitten with that girl."

"The Vampire Diaries" returns with a new episode on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
