Furious Halle Berry reportedly sued ex Gabriel Aubry for trying to make their 6-year-old daughter look white by straightening and lightening her hair.

TMZ reported that the parents of Nahla strongly disagreed over how her naturally curly locks should be styled -- the "Catwoman" actress was convinced that the Canadian model was making her first child's hair straight and getting her highlights to make her appear "less African-American."

Incidentally, Berry's mother Judith is white and originally from Liverpool, United Kingdom; her father Jerome Jesse Berry is of African-American heritage.

According to court documents (via MailOnline), the "X-Men" star claimed that her former boyfriend caused their little girl "potential psychological and physical damage" and could make her wonder "why her natural appearance is not good enough."

The records also showed that Aubry made "completely and totally unacceptable" racial slurs against Berry: a source alleged that he called her the N-word.

Although Berry did not show up to the court on Monday morning, her attorney Steve Kolodny did instead to represent her. A judge ruled that neither of the ex-couple should change Nahla's hair from the natural state and it should be allowed to grow back naturally.

"Halle kept asking and asking Gabriel about Nahla's hair and he kept denying it," a source revealed. "Halle then filed the court papers and Nahla's curls came back."

This certainly is not the first that Berry and Aubry, who split back in 2010 after four years together, have disputed, as the former's actor husband Olivier Martinez and the latter infamously got into a fistfight two years ago -- the Oscar winner wanted to move with Nahla to France, the home of Martinez, for more family privacy. However, she was banned.

In addition, Halle Berry is requesting Superior Court to cut her monthly child support payments to Gabriel Aubry from $16,000 to $3,800, claiming that he is using the money for his own personal use.
