Colt 45 is keeping its malt beverage brand flowing and keeping it fresh by launching a new campaign called "Keep It Colt 45," featuring Snoop Dogg. The Long Beach rapper returns to his original gangster roots in new Colt 45 commercial.

In the 60-second visual launched by Colt 45, Snoop reveals the new "Colt 45 crew." The new brand presence features four up and coming young artists that are hand selected by Snoop Dogg himself. They are YG, White Girl Mob's Lil' Debbie, Snow Tha Product and Skeme, who wears a Colt 45 hat to show his loyalty to the crew and of course, Snoop.

The commercial portrays the West Coast's cheerful and carefree atmosphere. The Hip Hop mogul kicks it old school with his California homies in a backyard, on a porch during a sun-filled afternoon. Snoop cracks open cans and bottles of Colt 45 40 ounces, and enjoys the golden drink with his fellow West Coast artists. The commercial does not serve as an advertisement.

"'Keep It Colt 45' pays homage to keeping it real and remembering where you're from, once the whole world know your name" says Snoop Dogg. "It's not always about the club, but rather the crew, the crib, the kickback. And it's always about keeping it 100, keeping it trill, keeping it G."

Back in 2011, the rapper signed on as brand ambassador for the line of trendy malt liquor "Blast", Pabst Brewing Company's version of "Four Loko." Thus, it was natural for Snoop to progress into his new position.

The initiative of "Keep It Colt 45" includes a series of live activations that started with Snoop Dogg's official BET Hip Hop Awards after party, out of home ads starting in two weeks on October 15, as well as photos and a video series featuring freestyles by the Colt 45 crew via the Colt 45 crew Facebook Page.
