Actresses Vanessa Redgrave and Rosamund Pike were honored at the Women in Film and TV Awards on Friday in London.

Redgrave received the lifetime achievement award for her lengthy breadth of work, Variety reports. The award, presented by playwright David Hare, will recognize her five-decade-long career, which includes more than 80 film roles, such as her parts in "Deep Impact" and the original "Mission Impossible," six Oscar nominations and an Academy Award win for Best Supporting Actress for the title role in the 1977 film "Julia."

Pike was honored with the performance award for David Fincher's thriller "Gone Girl," based on the eponymous best-selling novel by Gillian Flynn.

Other winners include Lyse Doucet, who was presented with the achievement of the year award for her journalistic reporting from Syria.

Producer of the year award went to Katie Swinden for shows like "Marvellous," Peaky Blinders" and "Luther," Entertainment Weekly reports.

Screenwriter Lucy Kirkwood was given the writing award for the Sky drama "The Smoke."

The costume design award went to Consolata Boyle for films "The Iron Lady," "Testament of Youth" and "Philomena."

Location manager Sue Quinn was given the project management award in admiration of her work in finding settings for the "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Harry Potter" franchises. One of her major accomplishments was arranging for Tom Cruise to land a helicopter in London's iconic Trafalgar Square for the recent film, "The Edge of Tomorrow."

Sara Hardy and Blue Ryan were awarded the news and factual award for their striking documentary, "The Unspeakable Crime: Rape," which is now used as a training video for people who work with victims of rape and sexual assault.

"Year after year these awards celebrate the talented women in film and television," CEO of WFTV Kate Kinninmont said. "This year's winners are a superb group of creative and outstanding women."
