Death, naturally, was the focal point of the premiere episode of "The Vampire Diaries," and while fans raved about the astounding first episode, what could possibly be in store for Episode 2?

International Business Times reports that the second episode of "The Vampire Diaries" Season 5 will reveal the following developments: Stefan (Paul Wesley), will finally get the tender, loving care he deserves with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Sheriff Forbes possibly teaming up to look for him. College girls Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Caroline (Candice Accola) will be taking on new roles as vampire sleuths as they will investigate the murder of their roommate, Megan. Silas will never stop trying to harm and kill Katherine, so Matt and Jeremy will never stop protecting her from him. Nadia the newbie villain meanwhile, will be resorting to violence in order to get what she wants - which remains to be a mystery, by the way.

Meanwhile, for those who missed the premiere, it's important to know that in the episode entitled, "I Know What You Did Last Summer," the audience finally finds out where Stefan is: he's in a lake, drowning over and over as Silas imprisoned him there, according to IBT. He continues to experience immense pain, and subsequently, a conflict within himself: should he lose his humanity to discard the feeling of misery?

Silas, now posing as Stefan on the other hand, tries to kill Katherine while she's in enjoying a bath, but he fails. Later, Katherine and Jeremy crash their car into a lamp post, but both survive. Elena and Caroline go to college, and while trying to enjoy life in campus, death follows them as their new roommate Megan is murdered, complete with vampire bites on the neck. Meanwhile, Bonnie's dad Rudy gets murdered by Silas right on stage at the "End Of Summer" party, with the now-ghost Bonnie screaming in agony among the audience as Silas slits her father's throat, reports E!Online.

The much-anticipated second episode of this blood-sucking series will air Thursday, October 10, at 8 p.m., on the CW. It seems too far away!
