Colombian superstar Juanes is ending 2014 on a high note and it's looking like 2015 will kick off very nicely, as well.

Not only has the already two-time Grammy winner won his impressive 20th Latin Grammy for "Loco de Amor," but the highly-acclaimed album also received a Best Latin Pop Album Grammy Nomination for "Loco de Amor." He's also making his acting debut on "Jane The Virgin" tonight, Monday, Dec. 8 at 9/8c on The CW Network.

"Juanes' music has been used frequently in the critically-praised show, marking a unique multi-song arrangement between an all-Spanish-language music superstar and a major English-language network TV series," according to Universal Music Latino.

As mentioned, already loyal fans of Juanes ("Jane the Virgin's" theme song is one of the star's latest singles, "Una Flor"), the buzzed-about CW TV show will treat its audience to the Colombian rocker's acting debut for its Chapter 8 episode.

Where can fans see Juanes on the set of the show? Why, the music studio, of course!

Juanes will help Jane's mother, Xiomara "Xo" Villanueva (played by Andrea Navedo), further her dreams as a singer in a scene that was reportedly shot a few months ago.

"It's the first time I'll be doing this," Juanes told The Huffington Post in September. "Well, I did something small in Mexico once, and now I'm going to do it again. But I see it as something fun. I'm not an actor at all, but I think I can do it. I'm going to try and see it how it goes, and it's going to just be something fun. My thing is music and that's where I'm going to stay, but [...] they chose my song for the series and then they told me 'Hey, if you want to [do] something, you're welcome to,' and they proposed this. And I said, 'Well, OK, yes.'"

Also in the Chapter 8 episode, eager fans will reportedly find out what is going on with Rafael and where he's headed. In the trailer for the episode, he hears "three surprising words" from Jane. Hmmm, what could they be?

Based on a loose adaptation of the Venezuelan telenovela, "Juana la Virgen" created by Perla Farías, "Jane the Virgin" is a comedy-drama set in Miami and highlights the life of Jane Villanueva, a hard-working, religious young Latina who vows to save her virginity until marriage.

Her choice to remain celibate is not only religious, however; her other inspiration is her mother, who had her when she was just 16 as a result of a one-night stand. Needless to say, she doesn't want history to repeat itself -- even though it sort of has in an ironic twist.

Her relationship with detective Michael Cordero, Jr., (played by Brett Dier) was turned upside down when a doctor mistakenly artificially inseminates Jane during a checkup and the biological donor is a married man, a former playboy and cancer survivor Rafael Solano (played by Justin Baldoni), who is Jane's boss, but was also was her former teenage crush.

While Jane, who is studying to become a teacher, agrees to carry the baby full term and turn over custody to Rafael and his wife Petra, it becomes much more complicated than that, of course!

"Virginity might not be a present day reality among young people -- but I think that is meant to be symbolic, not literal, in today's age ... The moral equilibrium, character, youthful seriousness -- amidst today's jaded pop culture -- I think that is the story. You can be YOUNG, have a moral grounding, love family, be a teacher not a tech geek, pray but still be a sympathetic character, not be a jerk about it," Clara Del Villar, creator of the "Familia con Fuego" telenovela, told The New York Post.

The cast of "Jane the Virgin" also includes: Yael Grobglas as Petra (Natalia) Solano, Rafael's scheming wife; Ivonne Coll as Alba Gloriana Villanueva, Jane's very religious Abuelita (grandmother); and Jaime Camil as Rogelio de la Vega, a famous telenovela star and Jane's biological father.

"Jane the Virgin" guest star Juanes also shared his excitement over his latest Grammy nomination, saying: "I am filled with immense joy today and am grateful to fellow members of the Recording Academy for the recognition of Loco de Amor."

"Loco de Amor" ("Crazy for Love") is the first Latin music album helmed by renowned rock producer and Grammy Producer of the Year Steve Lillywhite (U2, The Killers, the Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band, Peter Gabriel, Morrissey).

"Loco de Amor" has been called by critics "one of the best albums of 2014 ... FOUR STARS ... immediately accessible even if you don't know Spanish at all ... urgent, affirmative, nearly transcendent rock & roll ... a hooky chorus worthy of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band ... instantly memorable ... measurably sharper than most pop right now."

Other contenders in the ring for the Best Latin Pop Album Grammy also include: "Tangos" by Ruben Blades; "Elypse" by Camila; "Raiz" by Lila Downs, Niña Pastori and Soledad Pastorutti; and "Gracias Por Estar Aqui" by Marco Antonio Solis.
