Sofia Vergara is in talks to produce comedy series, Raising Mom for ABC, an autobiographical show that will be based on her own experience as a mother.

TV's highest paid actress is already plenty busy on and off the screen, portraying Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on Modern Family, hosting her own successful talent management business, and juggling recently completed films and films that are in the works (Machete Kills, Fading Gigolo, Heat and Chef).

Raising Mom, which will be directed by Emmy Award-winning Gail Mancuso (Modern Family, 30 Rock and Scrubs) and written by Christine Zander (Raising Hope), will be a single camera, half-hour comedy about a young single mom and her 21-year-old son.

The mother-son set maintain a co-dependent relationship, after years of raising one another. But, they find that their codependence is tearing as the two struggle to find independence. Luis Balaguer of Latin World Entertainment conceived the idea while witnessing Vergara interact with her son, Manolo, over the twenty year stint that Balaguer has shared a business partnership with Vargara. ABC studios, Electus and Vergara's Latin World Entertainment will produce the comedy.

Mujeres Asesinas, an Argentine suspense thriller and drama will be adapted as an ABC series, Killer Women, and will be executively produced by Vergara. And. Vergara's Latin World Entertainment (in collaboration with Electus) currently produces the half-hour comedy Speak American, which is on FOX.

The Colombian beauty, who's already been crowned richest woman in television two years running, will continue to reign as she draws in more projects and endorsement deals. She's already been the face for brands, CoverGirl, Diet Pepsi, K-mart, Xfinity, Rooms To Go and Synthroid, and will undoubtedly bag plenty more.

Still early in its development stages, it has not been said who will be cast to fulfill the roles of the "Sophia" and "Manolo" characters in Raising Mom.
