Iggy Azalea recently confirmed that she is working on one of the tracks off Britney Spears' upcoming ninth studio album.

During her interview with Boston radio station Kiss 108 on Dec. 14, the Australian MC revealed that her new collaboration with the pop star is on its way, aiming for an early 2015 release.

"We have a song, which is going to be her first single, coming out next year," Iggy said. "I still haven't really got to have a conversation with her, so I'm hoping New Year's will be the time I can get her in a corner."

Iggy then explained how she decided to team up with Spears.

"She said she would like to work with me in an interview, and they reached out," she claimed. "We recorded a few different things and then one of those just ended up being, I think, undeniably great. Hopefully everybody will get to hear it at the beginning of next year. I think people are really going to love and enjoy it. It's a really fun track."

The "Work" rapper took to her Instagram account back in September to hint her forthcoming collaboration with the "Work B---h" singer.

"Hey London. I had so much fun with you guys... I think today has been one of the longest days of my life but It felt good seeing all your faces in the crowd. Thankyou for the support. Also I recorded a duo after the show for another blondie and I can't wait till you hear it, now time for bed," the picture's caption said.

HollywoodLife.com also reported at the time that Spears was determined to record with Iggy Azalea for the follow-up to her 2013 album "Britney Jean."

"Britney is working on new music and wants to work on a song with Iggy Azalea," a source said. "Britney wants to do stuff with many current artists and make her next album a huge event. She plans on making it star-studded, but Iggy is on top of the list."
