With the 2014 NFL season winding down, the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars will play in each other on NFL Thursday Night Football at 8:30 p.m. EST in an AFC South football game.

The Titans and Jaguars have a combined record of just 4-24 this season, so neither one of these teams are headed towards the playoffs, but they do have a division rivalry with each other that will be renewed Thursday night. The Titans defeated the Jaguars in Week 6, and the Jaguars would love to get revenge.

Let's see who has the advantage in this game:

Tennessee Titans (2-12)

At 2-12, the Tennessee Titans won't be playing in this year's postseason, but it would be nice to sweep their AFC South opponents.

Since their Week 6 victory over Jacksonville, the Titans have lost their last eight consecutive games. With Zach Mettenberger battling a shoulder injury and Jake Locker on injured reserve, Charlie Whitehurst is expected to get the start Thursday night.

Tennessee has had huge problems on both sides of the ball. Offensively, the Titans rank 29th in yards gained and 29th in points scored. Without Chris Johnson, the Titans now have the fifth worst rushing attack, and their passing game has been almost as bad. Outside of Jason McCourty and Jurrell Casey, there haven't been many standouts on defense for the Titans this year.

The Titans have not scored 30 points in a game this entire season.

Jacksonville Jaguars (2-12)

Facing the Titans will be the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars have been one of the worst teams this season, and many NFL experts believe the team will draft Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota this offseason. The Jaguars received a lot of criticism from some fans when they didn't sign free agent quarterback Tim Tebow in the offseason, and it looks as if that was a big mistake.

Similar to the Titans, the Jaguars have a terrible offense. The Jaguars offense ranks dead last in scoring, 29th in passing and 25th in rushing. The Jaguars defense hasn't been much better ranking 29th overall in the league.

Quarterback Blake Bortles has been battling a foot injury, but he will most likely get the start against the Titans. Bortles was the No. 3 overall pick in the draft this previous offseason, but it's been a tough rookie season. Bortles has 10 passing touchdowns and 17 interceptions this season with 46 sacks. Only San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick has been sacked more with 48.

The Jaguars will finish their season with a game against the Houston Texans next week.

Schedule, Where to Watch

The Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars will play in each other on Thursday, Dec. 18 at 8:25 p.m. EST on the NFL Network. The game will be played at EverBank Field in Jacksonville, Florida. You can view a live game stream here.

Predictions

It's not the usual Thursday night game that NFL fans are used to seeing. Neither team has any hope whatsoever of making the playoffs, but, we should still get a close game between these two teams. The Titans won last time at home, so you can bet the Jaguars will be looking to return the favor. Denard Robinson, who has 582 rushing yards this season, will make the difference.

Jaguars win 13-10
