Jennifer Hudson shocked Chelsea Handler and the world when she admitted she's never tried drugs of any kind and never tasted liquor in her life, according to US Magazine.

In her television appearance on Chelsea Lately Thursday, the Dreamgirls actress disclosed that she has never had a sip of alcohol, much less tried illegal substances. Hudson appeared on the show to talk about her recent movie, The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete, in which she plays the role of a heroin addict.

Chelsea Handler began her interview by saying "I love this new movie; It's great because you play a heroin addict, which is the only drug I've never tried. You've never done heroin?" and Hudson replied with a shocking revelation by saying that, "I've never done anything, so that was hard to play this role. I've never had a drink in my life. I'm sober."

The talk show host, who showed her fondness for liquor in her best-selling book Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea was clearly perplexed and dismayed by Hudson's stunning sobriety. Handler said, "What do you mean you've never had a drink? What are you waiting for?" Hudson replied, "I've never been interested. Nobody ever believes it," reports E!Online. To prepare for her role, Hudson had to seek advice from recovering addicts at a rehabilitation center. There, she met one whose advice helped her greatly. Hudson revealed, "They took me through each and every step of what it's like, how you get addicted to drugs and what it feels like when you are high. She told me it was like an orgasm. I was like, 'I could do that part! I could fake that!'" according to examiner.com.

The Inevitable Defeat of Mister & Pete opened Friday, October 11, and also stars Skylan Brooks (Mister), Ethan Dizon (Pete), Jordin Sparks (Alice), Jeffrey Wright (Henry), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Sergeant Pike), and Anthony Mackie (Kris).
