The iPhone's new operating system is proving to be extremely popular in the early going -- so popular that 71 percent of iOS device users have made the switch to iOS 7.

The new operating system achieved the 71 percent mark in only 27 days, shattering last year's iOS 6 numbers. It took the previous operating system a full 30 days just to get to 61 percent. Is it that the new operating system is that much better or are Apple fans just getting used to the pattern of having to change the operating system every year or so?

Regardless of whether fans are getting used to a pattern, they most certainly don't seem to be getting used to iOS 7. Even a month after it was released, the operating system is still drawing a wide range of complaints from users. On Twitter, fans have criticized everything from the battery draining issue to problems with the music and podcasts to social media.

"My Twitter and Instagram mess up so much on IOS7," Alex Constancio of Miami, Florida said on Twitter.

"Ugh, ios7 is HIDEOUS. Bleurgh. And you can't play podcasts in the music app. Grr," said Alan Davies, who has over 500,000 followers.

The complaints about the operating system have also included health issues. People have gone to their doctor complaining that their iPhones have given them motion sickness ever since making the jump to iOS 7; doctors have since confirmed this, which is said to stem from the animations on certain apps.

As of this week, 250 million people were running iOS 7, according to CNN Money.
