On Saturday, Jan. 3, "Same Love" rapper Macklemore took to Twitter to announce the news that he and his fiancee Tricia Davis are expecting their first child, Billboard reports.

Macklemore opted to share the news in a special way. He posted a YouTube video of his fiancee attending her ultrasound visit.

"Today the media speculated about some big news in our life. So we decided to share it with you ourselves. Love, Ben and Tricia," reads the caption that introduces the video.

The clip then begins with the engaged couple listening to their baby's heartbeat for the first time, followed by another shot of them embracing in a sonogram room.

The baby's due date is expected to be sometime in May, according to the clip.

Prior to the baby announcement, there had been rumors of the rapper's fiancee showing signs of pregnancy, Page Six reports.

Page Six spies allegedly spotted Davis not drinking in a loose-fitting black dress while attending Macklemore's performance at 1OAK for New Year's eve.

"Tricia wasn't drinking while everyone else had a cocktail," said a Page Six source."She was dancing and standing in the back, but not really with the crowd. If Macklemore wasn't performing, he was right next to her, guarding her."

The source also claimed to have seen "Davis put her hand on her stomach" during the music-filled night. "That's when you could see a baby bump!" the source continued.

In a recent interview with Hot 97, Macklemore addressed his family life and revealed that he had taken a hiatus from music to spend quality time with his fiancee and focus on family.

Macklemore didn't give a specific date for his new album during the interview, however, Billboard reports that the rapper replied to a fan online and tweeted that his album is scheduled to arrive sometime this year.
