The Chicago producer-rapper Kanye West officially announced the special guests on the lineup for the New York City dates on his forthcoming "Yeezus" tour: TDE's Kendrick Lamar and A Tribe Called Quest will indeed be joining him.

Last year, 'Ye toured with Jay Z in support of their album together, "Watch the Throne." As the announcement poster reads, the upcoming event will be "Kanye West's 1st solo tour in 5 years with Kendrick Lamar." K-Dot will be touring with Kanye throughout the "Yeezus" tour, with the exception of dates at Las Vegas, Philadelphia and Tempa Bay.

Back in 2012, Lamar spoke about his competitive nature when he was talking about Kanye West.

"It's the competitive nature. We can't forget that. We can do features with each other. We can rap with each other. But at the end of the day, you gotta want to be the best. I'm definitely competitive with Black Hippy. I'm competitive with them. I'm competitive with Jay Z. I'm competitive with Nas. I'm competitive with Kanye. We're in the big leagues now. I can't be looking at them as big homies for the rest of my life," said the G.O.O.D. rapper.

Kendrick Lamar is also collaborating with Flying Lotus on his set for the "Yeezus" tour run.

In addition, Q-Tip, Phife Dawg and Ali are set to reunite for selected performances during the New York City dates.

West will have four New York dates to his tour - November 19 and November 20 shows will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and November 23 and November 24 concerts will be held at Madison Square Garden - two-night stands at each venue. Kendrick Lamar and A Tribe Called Quest will be performing two of the four NYC stops that Kanye has, with each playing at once at the Barclays Center and once at Madison Square Garden.

Kanye West's "Yeezus" tour will kick off on October 19 in Seattle and will end in early December in Houston. Tickets already went on sale beginning on September 13.
