Prosecutors in the Aaron Hernandez murder case are alleging that the former Patriots star's fiancee lied about evidence in relation to the case.

Shayanna Jenkins has found herself embroiled in a perjury situation after reportedly telling a number of different stories about what she did with a box that Hernandez told her to "get rid of."

"She told her sister that she was going to the bank, she told her uncle ... she was going to the store, she told the grand jurors that she was going to get baby formula," Bristol County Assistant District Attorney Patrick Bomberg said.

Jenkins' attorney, Janice Bassil, said that her client remains innocent and that the prosecutors are going beyond their limits.

"It seems to me that this is overreaching, the indictment is overreaching, the statement by (the prosecutor) is overreaching, and the request for bail is overreaching," said Jenkins' lawyer, Janice Bassil.

The prosecutor said that Jenkins told authorities that she "didn't know where she went" but that she told different accounts of the story to the people she knew.

Jenkins is scheduled to attend another hearing for her case on Nov. 6.

Hernandez went from being a star for the Patriots to facing a possible life sentence. Furthermore, Hernandez is a suspect in a 2012 double homicide in Boston following an evening at a nightclub. Hernandez was arrested days after the death of his friend Odin Lloyd, who was found by a jogger in an industrial park.

Hernandez has pleaded not guilty in the case and is being held without bail.
