AT&T is bringing back the roll over, but this time with data. AT&T has just announced that it will be allowing its new and existing mobile share value plan customers to roll over their unused data from the previous month.

This is perhaps in response to T-Mobile's announcement last month to do the same. The main difference however lies in that AT&T will only allow users to do this for one month. It will not allow users to save up data indefinitely. The new feature begins January 25th and will reflect the following billing cycle after that date.

Currently there are 50 million users subscribed to the mobile share value data plans that will benefit from this new feature. Glenn Lurie the President of AT&T wireless said "We're providing even more value and flexibility, and the best part is it's simple, sharable and easy to track for our customers."

While AT&T may be doing better financially, T-Mobile's plan is still sounding much more appealing. T-Mobile will also be gifting their subscribers with 10GB of free additional data as well as rollover data for up to 12 months. T-Mobile CEO John Legere had a few things to say on the matter, including commenting on Twitter saying, "There will always be a lesser, later version of what we offer!"

Legere also called for the end of overage charges in the industry when users go over their data or voice limits, as T-Mobile has already done. Wireless providers are racing to entice customers to stay or switch over, and in some cases the moves they are willing to make are financially drastic.

For example Sprint is currently offering (with some fine print of course) to cut your bill in half if you switch over to them. They will offer you just as much voice, text, and data for half of what you're currently paying.

AT&T closed .12% up after a steep drop in the morning after the news.
