Juan Gabriel's next album is to be released on Feb. 13, but Jennifer Lopez won't be one of the artists featured on the Mexican musician's record.

Esmas notes "El Divo de Juarez" recorded a song with Lopez, but he has reportedly chosen not to include it in his album. The Mexican singer was very selective, and he also eliminated other songs. Duets he recorded with Carla Morrison, La India and Franco de Vita also failed to make the cut.

According to other sources, it is possible Gabriel did not even get an opportunity to record with Lopez. And he might work with her on a following album, reports Univision.

Gabriel also supposedly wanted to work with Shakira and Christina Aguilera for this album, but those duets did not happen.

Laura Pausini, David Bisbal, Marco Antonio Solis, Alejandra Guzman, Vicente Fernandez, Antonio Orozco, Espinoza Paz, Natalia Jimenez and Juanes will be featured on Gabriel's new album.

About two months ago, Juanes took to his Instagram account to post a picture of himself recording with Gabriel.

"What an honor to have worked with you," he said. "Thank you for this grand invitation."

Gabriel celebrated his 65th birthday on Jan. 7. According to TV Notas, he plans to have an active 2015. On top of releasing a new album, the singer will resume his "Volver" tour throughout the United States and Mexico.

In 2014, Gabriel had health issues. He had to take a break from touring because of pneumonia, but by September, he was able to return to performing with a concert in Miami.

In June, Lupillo Rivera said the singer had given him "Si Me Quieres Ver Muy Triste," an unpublished song.

"Thank you to Juan Gabriel for believing in my talent and giving me the opportunity to sing this unpublished song," Rivera tweeted, notes La Opinion.
