The Cuban-American former model and telenovela star William Levy is leaving the telenova scene and has set his sights on Hollywood films, he recently told People En Español. He's currently in post-production for the films Addicted and Single Mom's Clubs, and is still filming La Tempestad (The Tempest) in Mexico.

People En Español reported that Levy prefers Hollywood work to that of telenovelas, because telenovelas were more demanding and didn't provide much flexibility.

"At least over there [in the United States], you work intensively for three months during filming and then you rest for two [months] to spend time with and relax with your family and kids," Levy stated. "I think it's too much work now; it's tiring. Telenovelas is the most unavoidable work from theater and film. It's really difficult, there are too many hours involved."

His also commented to Huffington Post, "Making these novelas is hard work. And as time passes, you find other priorities in life. You start getting a feeling in your stomach to be with your children and spend more time with them."

His upcoming film Single Mom's Club, where he play a character named Manny, is directed and written by Tyler Perry. It will also star Nia Long, Amy Smart, Terry Crews and Wendi McLendon-Covey. He will also star in the drama/thriller Addicted, which is based on the novel by Zane, and will perform the role of Quentin. The cast of that film also includes Sharon Leal, Kat Graham, Boris Kodjoe, Tasha Smith, and Tyson Bedford.

The next things that are in line for the handsome Cubano is a project called The Ville; and he will appear in a dance film, Salsa, which will co-star Jada Pinkett Smith.
