Some gamers have decided to go ahead and purchase NBA 2K14 on their Xbox 360 or PS3 consoles, but others have been waiting out the month until they are able to play on the Xbox One or PS4.

NBA 2K14 is on the top ten list for PS4 games that have preordered so far and it is already proving to be a popular game in the next generation. Even just the trailers previewing the game have received positive reviews and it has put gamers even more towards the edge of their seat.

However, there seems to be a significant difference in the number of NBA 2K14 games sold for PS4 as opposed to Xbox One. While the game sticks out as a top ten preorder, it isn't even ranked in the Xbox One list. There are some differences in amount of games sold by video game console but it is likely that the number of Xbox One preorders will pick up soon, especially considering that PS4 had a head start anyway.

So far on the current systems, NBA 2K14 has brought mostly consistent reviews saying that the game hasn't undergone any significant changes - especially with the new consoles on the horizon - but that all of the features and aspects of the game were impressive and evenly balanced.

Another key positive for the game is that people are appreciating the deeper customization of each player -- such as with signature skills -- in order to create a more realistic experience that is as close to the real thing as it has ever been.
