Sergeant Wu is going to have a hard time coping with the reality that Wesen really do exist when the NBC's "Grimm" returns Friday night.

In the midseason finale, which was titled "Chupacabra," Nick and Hank faced off with a legendary Latino beast called el chupacabra after a doctor became infected with a disease that turned him into the vicious monster while working in the Dominican Republic. Luckily, Monroe and Rosalee were able to create a cure, but they only had enough ingredients for one shot. As a result, the cure was given to the doctor's wife, who he had infected, and the doctor died, reports Entertainment Weekly.

However, during the investigation to find el chupacabra, Wu saw the doctor in chupacabra form. Still in complete disbelief, he then ended up getting drunk at a bar, getting into a fight and being arrested.

Unlike Hank, "Grimm" actor Reggie Lee teased that his character is going to struggle with his discovery about Nick and the fact that Wesen are real.

"How he deals with it now, and how [the gang] deal with him, is going to flesh out the next several episodes," Lee recently told TVLine about Wu. "It's so unlike anybody else that has gone through this situation on the show," he added

According to Dread Central, the official synopsis next episode reads as follows:

"The Wesenrein act on their many threats against Monroe (Silas Weir Mitchell) and Rosalee's (Bree Turner) marriage.

"Meanwhile, Nick (David Giuntoli) and Hank (Russell Hornsby) bring Wu (Reggie Lee) to a place where he's sure to find the answers he's looking for.

"Elsewhere, Juliette (Bitsie Tulloch) tries to come to grips with her new reality."

Season 4, Episode 9 of "Grimm," "Wesenrein," premieres on NBC on Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at 9 p.m. ET.
