"19 Kids and Counting" newlyweds Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald, are headed to a pro-life rally in Little Rock, Arkansas. Duggar made the announcement on Instagram Jan. 18 only to receive a backlash from fans.

"Headed to Little Rock right now for the annual March for Life! Join us at our state Capitol at 2pm, and together let us take a stand for the life of the unborn," Duggar captioned a photo of the state of Arkansas with a heart and the tagline "The Heart of Arkansas Beats for Life."

It's no surprise that Duggar is pro-life considering her conservative Christian upbringing. Nevertheless, the reality TV star started an explosive debate between pro-choice and pro-life advocates on her Instagram page.

Duggar also posted photos from the rally of which she and her family were proud to participate in.

In addition, Duggar shared a YouTube video of the Duggar family at the pro-life march.
Controversy has surrounded the Duggar family recently due to their political activities. A recent post on the Duggar Family Facebook page about joining former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee at the inaugural ball for Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson was met with a backlash as well.

"We had a great day yesterday attending the swearing in and the inaugural ball dinner for our good friend and new Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson. We also spent a little time with our friend, Governor Mike Huckabee who also joined the activities of the day," the post reads.

According to the Duggar Family Blog, the family is "thrilled" Huckabee might run for president in 2016. The Duggar family campaigned for him when he ran for the GOP nomination in 2008, but failed to win.

The popular TLC show "19 Kids and Counting" will return for a ninth season in February. Fans can expect to see Duggar and Seewald's wedding, and learn more about Jill Duggar's pregnancy.
