"Scandal" star Kerry Washington is reportedly pregnant.

According to Us Weekly, Washington and her husband, NFL player Nnamdi Asomugha, will be having their first child.

"She's about four months along," the Us Weekly source, who the magazine says is a "pal" of Washington, said.

Washington and San Francisco 49ers cornerback Asomugha got married in a very private ceremony on June 24 in Hailey, Idaho. Rumors have it that the pair started their romance during the summer in 2012.

So what will happen to Olivia Pope, Washington's character on "Scandal?"

According another E! News source, it is "unlikely" that Olivia will become pregnant.

"It would slow Olivia and the show down," an E! News source said.

According to the E! News, the most likely solution will be to hide Washington's baby bump and to readjust the production schedule. As of yet, there have been no production changes to the hit ABC series.

Recently, Washington was asked if Olivia would ever become pregnant.

"God, those are [executive producer Shonda Rhimes] questions," Washington told E! News. "I really never know where the show is going. That's the part I love about television. You just don't know what the beginning, the middle and end is going to be. So really anything can happen. Olivia can die. She can get married. She can get pregnant. Anything can really happen."

It may be a long time before the pregnancy news is confirmed by Washington herself, as the star likes to keep her personal life personal.

"I learned through experience that it doesn't work for me," she told Glamour. "I've had earlier times in my career when I did talk about it, but I couldn't just turn around and say, 'I only want to talk about the good stuff but not the bad stuff.' So I just thought, 'Okay, no more.'"

The best chance to see if the rumors are true is to scope out Washington when she hosts "Saturday Night Live" on Nov 2.
