Farrah Abraham may have joked about her swollen lips on Twitter, but the reality star was actually afraid about her botched lip injections.

Abraham appeared on "The Doctors" to give more details about what happened.

"My lower lip has always been larger than my upper lip, so I like to make them symmetrical, and from time to time, I do add filler," she said, according to E! News. "I wanted a lip implant because it was more of a permanent fix."

The 23-year-old said she didn't just go into the surgery blindly. She did her research and found a doctor who specialized in facial surgery.

Abrahram ended up having an allergic reaction, however.

"As soon as he touched my lip with whatever numbing product he was putting in there, my lip was having an allergic reaction right away," the reality star explained. "I've never felt this sensation in my head before, but I also am scared. I was laying down flat, but I was seeing more of my lip, like, come up and come up."

The doctor suggested that Abraham go to the emergency room because of how much her lip swelled. She said she felt upset, as though the doctor were "ruining" her face.

Abraham added that she does not remember what happened before she arrived in the ER, stating that her memory is "fuzzy."

"One of the ER doctors said my lip was all the way up here in front of my nostrils at one point, and that's what was very concerning to her," she said. "They gave me a steroid and an antibiotic. I'm going to continue my medication for the last three days. I'm just really thankful that I'm alive."

The former "Teen Mom" star said she still feels pain occasionally and finds the whole ordeal was scary. Abraham said doesn't know if she will ever get lip injections again is also holding off on butt implants. For now, Abraham is doing more research and "walking a lot of hills."
