Warner Bros. Pictures brought a smile to faces of women everywhere by releasing the official "Magic Mike XXL" trailer on Wednesday featuring "CSI: Miami" star Adam Rodriguez and Channing Tatumwho also co-wrote its script.

Director-producer Gregory Jacobs was kind enough to reveal some details about the movie's plot.

"It's a road-trip picture. Mike and the guys get back together, and adventure ensues," Jacobs told People. "They look incredible ... Their shirts are off an appropriate amount, let's put it that way! I don't think anyone's going to be disappointed."

New blood is set to join the original cast members, including Amber Heard, Jada Pinkett Smith, Elizabeth Banks and Michael Strahan. What roles the actors play is a secret, according to Jacobs. Fans will need to see the film to find out.

"They're part of who these guys meet along the way, and the reveal of that is really fun," he Jacobs said.

When "Magic Mike XXL" is released July 4th weekend, moviegoers can expect synchronized nearly-naked man-dancing and milder drama.

"It's dramatic and emotional but not as dark [as the first film]," Jacobs revealed. "It's such a great group of people. We had a blast making it. I hope that comes across on screen."

A sequel to the 2012 male strip club drama has been eagerly anticipated by fans. Those involved with the project have remained quiet up to this point, although it is known Matthew McConaughey is not returning as strip-club owner Dallas (no official reason was given).

"Because he's worth a lot of money -- that whole Oscar thing, the nerve right?" comedian Gabriel Iglesias, who plays a strip club DJ and drug dealer named Tobias in the movie, told Dish Nation in June referring to McConaughey's first Oscar for his role in "Dallas Buyers Club."

The disappointment of McConaughey's absence may be be short-lived, however, as Joe Manganiello, Matt Bomer, Rodríguez, Tatum and other favorite hunks featured in the first "Magic Mike" will return.
