Nick Cannon and Nicole Murphy were recently spotted in Manhattan's Meatpacking District eating dinner at a secluded table, sparking rumors the two may be an item.

According to the New York Post, the "America's Got Talent" host and soon-to-be ex-husband of songstress Mariah Carey wined and dined with Eddie Murphy's ex and at least two other friends at the high-end eatery Bagatelle.

"They were laughing and having a great time," a source told the newspaper. "Nick and Nicole and their friends were dressed to the nines. They were definitely enjoying their dinner."

After six years of marriage and two kids, Cannon filed for divorce from Carey late last year after the couple reportedly had been living apart for at least several months. Since then, Cannon has frequently denied rumors of being romantically tied to model and entertainer Amber Rose, insisting he simply serves as her manager.

Long before Carey, the 34-year-old Cannon has previously been romantically linked to Kim Kardashian, Selita Ebanks, Christina Milian and Nicole Scherzinger. He has starred in such films as "Drumline," "Love Don't Cost a Thing" and "Roll, Bounce." Cannon also currently stars alongside Kevin Hart in the BET-aired series "Real Husbands of Hollywood."

The VH1 star and L.A.-based Murphy recently split with NFL Hall of Famer and "Kelly and Michael" co-host Michael Strahan after a five-year engagement. She and Eddie Murphy were married for 13 years and have five children together.

Cannon is presumably in New York for this weekend's NBA All-Star festivities, where he is scheduled to compete alongside the likes of Hart, Angel Elgort, Anthony Anderson, Common, Skylar Diggins and Michael Rappaport in the celebrity All-Star Game.

According to TMZ, Carey has slapped Cannon with a court order that prohibits him from publicly speaking about their union. If Cannon violates the order, the website reports there are several severe financial penalties in place.
