Chiquis Rivera is going to be performing at Premio Lo Nuestro for the very first time, and the young star has asked for a closed-door rehearsal.

"I'm a little [nervous]," she said to "El Gordo y La Flaca." "It's my first time. It's a very big stage. I did ask for a little more time because I had dancers who I didn't know."

Chiquis and her late mother, Jenni Rivera, are both nominated for the female artist for the Mexican regional genre. Ana Barbara, Ely Quintero and Luz Maria are also up for the award.

For Chiquis, who said she cried when she found out she was nominated, it would make her happy for her mother to win.

"I want her to win because she may not be with us physically, but her name continues to be elevated," she said.

On "Sal y Pimienta," she talked about her wardrobe. For the red carpet, she will likely end up in a long dress. Chiquis wouldn't give any more details, other than saying that she has four outfits.

Chiquis also said she will have a date on the red carpet.

"I didn't want to come alone this time," she said. "It's a man I love very much. He's very special in my life. And well, you're going to meet him soon."

The "Sal Y Pimienta" segment also showed Thalia and Becky G hard at work practicing for their performance. Becky G recently talked about not having spent time with Coronel despite "El Gordo y La Flaca's" matchmaking. But Becky G said to the Univision show that in Miami, the two planned to have "a little hangout."

The "Shower" singer only had nice things to say about Coronel, who previously said he had a bit of a crush on Becky G.

"He's a very ... humble guy," she said. "We are friends. You know, you never know what is going to happen."
