Lady Gaga was a comedic hit on Saturday Night Live (SNL), winning audiences over with sketches that poked fun at Gaga herself, reports Popwatch.

Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta could now add "great SNL host" to her resume, as the Mother Monster handled her SNL hosting gig with ease, proving that she indeed is born with many talents.  Lady Gaga made the episode one of the best in the season so far, with her consistently funny numbers.

Gaga being Gaga, the pop superstar burst out from the SNL doors wearing a 1920s stage costume, all glitter and jazz. Her monologue discussed pop star supremacy, and while singing a jazz version of her carrier single "Applause," the singer segued into belting out "New York, New York."

Gaga could never disappoint when it comes to real song performances, and with R.Kelly as her guest, the audience gets true entertainment with a raunchy rendition of the ARTPOP song, "Do What You Want," reports Huff Post Entertainment. Before the duet, Mother Monster played the piano in performing "Gypsy," another ARTPOP song.

One of the funniest sketches of the night was the "Waking Up with Kimye" segment, for which Gaga starred as a nerdy computer technician commissioned to fix Kim's computer. Mother Monster poked fun at herself when she quipped, "I think people who are trying too hard with their outfits are maybe hiding something," reports Popwatch.

The biggest Lady Gaga laugh of the episode however, is when Gaga played her own self, singing "Express Yourself" by Madonna but with the lyrics of "Born This Way," effectively telling audiences that the controversy surrounding alleged rip-offs is merely a laughing matter for the singer.

Mother Monster had been excited to do her SNL hosting gig, as she tweeted about it prior to the show saying, "Can't wait to host + perform on @nbcsnl tonight! A lifelong dream! Watch at 11:30pm ET/PT."  Her last guesting had been as a musical performer, with Justin Timberlake as her host. The recent episode proved that Lady Gaga is in fact a natural at doing both.
